We've had a lovely week preparing for our Interactive Nativity tomorrow and basing all of our activities around Christmas. Over the next week your child will be bringing home a Christmas bag full of their wonderful creations. The children have really enjoyed our festive craft activities and can't wait to bring them home to share with you all. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible in the hall tomorrow. The more the merrier!

Christmas is coming!
With our Interactive Nativity two weeks tomorrow and the Copthill Advent Fayre next Saturday we thought we could get away with starting to talk about Christmas in Nursery this week! We have been starting to learn our Christmas songs and are looking forward to having our families in school for our Interactive Nativity Story on 7th December at 9.30am. We haven't tried this before and for it to work we will need your good help on the day! Costumes will be provided for any little ones who would like to dress up and join in. All will be revealed!

What with Fireworks, Diwali and Remembrance Sunday to talk about our little ones have been extra busy this week!
We have all enjoyed the vast amount of craft going on in Nursery this week, our rooms have been very colourful indeed. This half term our theme is "The Spirit of Christmas". It seems early to be preparing for our Interactive Nursery Nativity in the school hall but it is only 4 weeks away! We have songs to learn and lots of fun to be had over the next few weeks. The Early Years corridor really is the best place to be at Christmas time! Please come along to the hall on Friday 7th December. If your child is in session or not that day - the more the merrier and it would be really lovely to have a full house! Our plan is to encourage everyone to get involved, parents and children alike. Watch this space for more information ...

What a busy time we're having in the Nursery!
We are thrilled with how the children have settled into their routines and have been venturing further afield. The children enjoy their walks around the school grounds and especially enjoy visiting the vast array of Copthill animals we find along the way!
Keyworker groups have now been finalised and email address are as follows:
alex.forman@copthill.com, sarah.nelson@copthill.com and anna.keightley@copthill.com
Parents evening is next Tuesday 16th October. For those of you coming along for the first time it is a sociable evening with wine, soft drinks and nibbles in the school hall followed by an opportunity to meet with your child's keyworker without any distractions. Please do not worry if you are unable to attend as we are very happy to make an alternative arrangement to meet with you or we can telephone you at a mutually convenient time. As you know we operate an open-door policy and if you have any concerns, no matter how small, please ask at drop off or email myself or your childs keyworker when we will be pleased to help.
We hope that you are all up and running with your Tapestry accounts. Please share any photographs of activities your child does outside of school. Your children love to share what they have been doing with us all. Any queries regarding Tapestry please do not hesitate to ask.
That's all for now.
Kind regards from Mrs Forman and the Nursery Team.

Welcome back
Wishing you all a warm Copthill welcome to a new year in Nursery! I hope you've all had a lovely summer and feel refreshed and raring to go. Our new children are settling into their new routine very quickly indeed and we are very proud of our existing children who have played a huge part in helping them to learn our daily routine.
The milder weather is always a big help at the beginning of term and we are enjoying our walks to the animals and forest, finding little ‘treasures’ along the way. Our theme this half term is ‘Home Sweet Home’. We will be talking about our families and other special people in our lives, along with favourite songs, activities and places etc. If you child has a photograph of a special person or place they would like to bring in to share with us at circle time please bring them in a named envelope. Many thanks.
Although, we see most of our parents at the beginning / end of each session, parents evening is fast approaching when you will have the chance to speak to your child’s keyworker. If you have any queries, no matter how small, in the meantime please do not hesitate to ask or email Mrs Forman, alex.forman@copthill.com
Kind Regards, Mrs Forman and the Nursery Team
