Founders Day Celebrations!

Today we welcomed our Nursery and Preschool parents to school to view our wonderful Art Exhibition.  Nursery and Preschool children have been very busy over the past few weeks getting our displays ready.  We learnt a special song and sang it to our families.  Mr Teesdale even made a display of some of the creations he had made with his brothers in the early days when Copthill School was based at the farm.  It is lovely to see everybody getting involved. Thank you to everyone that came for taking the time out of your busy schedules to attend our event.  We couldn't have done it without you.  Also a big thank you to all the staff involved in the preparations  and making it possible.

Frog release day!

Some of our tadpoles have turned into froglets and frogs and it was time to release them into the river.  We have been very interested over the past few weeks and have enjoyed watching them as they  have changed. We went along with some of our Pre-school friends today and listened very carefully so that we knew what to do.  We all sang 5 Little Speckled Frogs and said our goodbyes.   

What a difference a week makes!

Last week this time we were splashing in muddy puddles dressed head to toe in our waterproofs. We had a great time but it has been lovely to have the warm weather back again this week.  Nursery have been making the most of the grounds and their new garden and have enjoyed al fresco snacks whilst out and about.  

We are pleased to report that our ten chicks are thriving under our care and have been moved to their new home outside where we love to go and visit them.  It is hard to believe they are already three weeks old. 

We are very much looking forward to our Founders Day celebrations and hope that you will be able to join us for our Art Display.  Sports Day is also fast approaching.  The next few weeks are going to keep us all super busy just as we like it!

Welcome to the Summer Term

We were very excited when we came back to school on Tuesday.  Our eggs were due to hatch and our garden had a makeover in the holidays!  Take a look at some of our photographs!  Watch this space for further developments.

We certainly made the most of the weather this week with visits to the sandpit and an Easter party in the quad with our Pre school friends.  Thank you to all of you who came along to our Mothers Day Event, the children made us all very proud with their beautiful singing.  If all goes to plan we should have some fluffy new arrivals in the Nursery after the Easter Holidays. Have a well earned break everyone!
